But as what we’re interested in, of course, is country and the artist who stands out in 2014, is the singer Kacey Musgraves. She walked away with two Grammys, one for Best Country Album, “Same Trailer Different Park”, but also for Best Country Song with the title “Merry Go ‘Round “!

The former lead singer of rock band, Hootie & the Blowfish, Darius Rucker, won the award for Best Country Solo Performance with the hit “Wagon Wheel” and even the duo The Civil Wars who are husband and wife in life, walked away with the prize, the Best Country Duo, with the single “From This Valley”. Forget disputes that threatened to ruin their careers.

This week Blake Shelton won the first place in the standings mediabase! Indeed it is the 13th title is No. 1 Country charts in the U.S. since the beginning of his career in 2001. The title in question is the last single “Sure Be Cool If You Did,” from the brand new album “Based On A True Story ‘seventh studio album coming out this week on his label always” Warner Bros. Nashville. ” Despite all the fuss that Blake Shelton had caused the last time in the American press, on the one hand because of his outspoken and secondly for his caustic criticism against old artists of traditional country music. Blake Shelton always seems like the American public! Blake is touring the United States, until the end of the year. So if starting to take a turn in the U.S. you may be able to see him live, to learn more about his tour dates please visit the website www.blakeshelton.com

Albums to come!

This week’s album release from the husband and wife duo Thompson Square entitled “Just Feels Good” on the label Stoney Creek Records, is an album unsurprisingly categorized as Pop Country.

Important issue for all fans of Alan Jackson, and many are in France. The mythical cowboy gives us the second volume of “Precious Memories.” Seven years after the release of volume one, he dedicated to his mother, Alan Jackson revisits here the hymns of the country-tinged gospel. Do not miss the excellent first installment of the talented Maggie Rose called “Cut To Impress”, an album strongly advised by the News of Nashville.

-On April 2, the family trio The Band Perry released her second album entitled “Pioneer”, which also promises to be superb! Besides, you could discover the new single from The Band Perry, “Done” in the the Big Cactus Country preview with Johnny Da Piedade.

– Also for April 2, the redneck woman, Gretchen Wilson will give us the first of three albums she has planned to introduce in 2013! It is “Right On Time” to be released on her own label Redneck Records. I remember that Gretchen is a headliner of the festival “Country Night Gstaad” in Switzerland from 20 to 22 September. Please note this date in your diaries! The Nashville News team will be on site! April 9 is the release date of the eighth studio album by the great songwriter, virtuoso guitarist and talented singer Brad Paisley called WheelHouse! The album takes on news items chronicled in the press of Nashville. Titles or terms used through new songs like “slavery, Accidental racist, crazy Christians, death of a married man or death seem to create a controversy in the politically correct world of Nashville. Stay tuned. We go straight to the month of May, with the release of an exceptional album, it will not miss that Mister George Strait! “Love Is Everything” The new album’s king of country music will be released on May 14th. I remind you that George Strait announced he wanted to retire, once he completes his U.S. tour that will last two years and finish in 2016.
