What’s The Buzz ?

Happy Holidays to all of you!

First of all, thank you so much for continuing to join me on this great ride of music and life. I appreciate that you continue to care about live music, independent music, and you share your stories with me while I share mine with you. I hope your holiday season is a joyous and peaceful one with friends, family, pets, nature…wherever you should be in this great world.

My friend Aspasia Fritchie, who owns the Jersey City boutique “Aspasia’s” has partnered with me to create limited edition “Land Like A Bird” earrings. We designed them, Aspasia made them. And now if you act quickly, you can purchase a pair in time for the holidays! They come in silver for $35 and gold for $40. (Silver plated bird, sterling post). You pay S/H. Sent Priority Mai (2 days) so order by Friday for Christmas guarantee. US: $6.00, Canada/Mexico: $14.00, all other countries $18.00. Email me directly at amy@amyspeace.com with “Earrings” in the subject heading!

Also, I’m participating in this crazy project my good friend Cary Cooper began in September on Facebook. It’s called “Real Women Real Songs” and she’s invited 14 of us to write a song a week based on a word that Cary posts and post the video of the song on a particular day each week. 16 weeks in! My day is Tuesday and so far I’ve only missed one week. You can check us out on Facebook and also on YouTube. The videos are all archived there so you can go back and listen to them all. Might be the songs emerging for the 2014 record.

Have a wonderful end of the year and I’ll see you on the road in 2013!
YOUR fan,
Amy

Hi y’all!
Just wanted to send once again the final schedule for my Alejandro Escovedo & The Sensitive Boys UK Tour. I’m the support act and couldn’t be happier to be headed to England and Scotland again. Hope to see all y’all, especially those who I met on the Ian Hunter Tour a few years back. Remember that Thirty Tigers/Essential is releasing “Land Like A Bird” on July 3rd! LIsten in on the BBC for tracks….

If you would, I’d be so thankful if you’d send these dates around to any and all friends and family in the UK. Spread the word, y’all…

What’s The Buzz ?

Hello!
Happy May from Frederick, Maryland where the weather is as moody as a 14 year old pimply adolescent. I’ve been touring the Northeast for the past few weeks and have a stop here to lead my Performance Workshop (“Sing What You Mean/Mean What You Sing”) at the Mini NERFA in Bethesda, MD on Cinco de Mayo. I hope they have some margaritas planned…
The big news is that “Land LIke A Bird” will be released in the UK this summer, followed by a tour there where I’ll be supporting Alejandro Escovedo, who’s got a great new record out. I’ll also be at a few UK festivals. All the dates are on my website, if you’d like to make a vacation plan to join me across the pond!

I’ve been doing a lot more teaching and coaching in person (either in Nashville or on the road) and via Skype. If anyone out there is interested in working with me on performance, voice, songwriting, or even just coaching in terms of career guidance in this lovely landscape of being a working performing songwriter, please email me at amy@amyspeace with “Coaching” in the subject line. I’ll be soon adding a page to my website that explains all this more clearly, but in the meantime, just write and ask!
May is gonna be big fun. From Nashville to Texas. See you out there!

What’s The Buzz ?

Hey y’all:

This week I hope a big ole Jet Airliner to make my way towards you. I’m so excited to get back to one of my favorite venues in this wide open country. This time, I bring to you my favorite sideman, Thomm Jutz, who I first saw playing with Mary Gauthier and then really got to hear as he was Nancy Griffith’s longtime guitar player and producer. He’s a wonderful songwriter with songs that Nancy has recorded and he’s produced some incredible records (The 1861 Project w/ Marty Stuart, Otis Gibbs, Nancy Griffith). I’m proud to be performing alongside him. We’ll play songs from my newest record “Land Like A Bird” and pepper the set with old favorites and new ones. My dear friend RJ Cowdrey is opening and she’s one of my favorite writers and voices on the scene, so its sure to be an amazing night. Please come out and say hello. Its a long way to Texas from Tennessee!!

Friday October 7th @ 8pm
UNCLE CALVIN’S COFFEEHOUSE
@ Northpark Presbyterian Church
9555 N. Central Expressway
Dallas, TX
