What’s The Buzz ?

Lauren Field has had a lot of airtime at Women Of Substance Radio with “Wonder Woman” which is featured on this long awaited new album. WOS is featuring her music again this month following her success in 2012.

Lauren’s new studio album ‘Retrospective’ – The first studio release from Lauren Field since her highly acclaimed ‘Modern Woman’ album in 2003. In the intervening years Lauren signed a pan – European record deal, toured extensively with her band throughout Europe, was a regular performer at London’s top jazz clubs and also headlined at London’s Royal Albert Hall, released a live CD/DVD double album, ‘From Berlin to Brooklyn’. She continued teaching voice production and song writing and founded ‘Rock Chorus’, www.rockchorus.com an organisation of community choirs singing her own arrangements of contemporary and classic pop and rock songs.

“Retrospective” is an eclectic mix of songs written over the last few years. It came down to 16 songs – there were many more to choose from but we selected our favourites. It’s a mostly self penned collection with some interesting collaborations including Mick Taylor (The Rolling Stones) – Hamish Stewart (Average White Band/Paul McCartney Band) and Zigmars Liepins (The Baltic States’ most successful composer).
